The Palm Springs Mini Modernism Event is Fast Approaching!
The Palm Springs mini-Modernism event takes place October 19th – 22nd. This four-day celebration of mid-century modern design, architecture, and culture features walking and bus tours, house visits, talks, and parties in unique locations not regularly open to the public. Attendees will get a glimpse of Palm Springs famed glamorous mid-century era, to its current mix of contemporary and modern architecture.

Modernism Week’s Signature Bus Tour
The Premier Double Decker Architectural Bus Tour provides guests with a 2.5 hour overview of the most significant mid-century architectural treasures of Palm Springs. Lead by knowledgeable and passionate guides, this open-air experience offers unique, exterior perspectives of Desert Spanish and Midcentury Modern architecture, two predominant styles found in Palm Springs.
Tour highlights include exterior views of William Krisel’s House of Tomorrow, Richard Neutra’s architectural masterpiece, the Kaufmann Desert House, Donald Wexler & Richard Harrison’s Steel Development Houses, and E. Stewart Williams’ legendary “Twin Palms” estate, the former residence of Frank Sinatra. Other architecturally significant buildings on the tour will include Palm Springs City Hall, Saint Theresa Parish, and the iconic Tramway Gas Station, now the Palm Springs Visitors Center.
Preview Party for Palm Springs Modernism Fall Show
Beat the crowds and enjoy a festive wine reception with hors d’oeuvres and early-buying opportunity at the Palm Springs Modernism Fall Show. The show brings over 45 national and international exhibitors together under one roof in Palm Springs offering items from all design movements of the 20th century along with 21st century design items including furniture, art, indoor and outdoor furniture, lighting, home décor items, and much more! All items are for SALE.
Following the Preview Party on Friday night, the show opens to the general public on Saturday, October 21, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, October 22 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
